New development as man, 41, is extradited interstate after two women were allegedly attacked

A man has been extradited across the country and charged after two women were allegedly assaulted. 

Nathan Raymond Caldow, 41, was arrested in a hotel in Fremantle, Western Australia, on Sunday and then extradited to NSW at 6.45pm on Wednesday.

It came after police launched an investigation into the alleged assault of two women in Goulburn, in the Southern Tablelands of NSW, in early April.

Caldow hid his face in a jumper after landing at Sydney Airport and was escorted through the terminal by officers and detectives.

He was taken to Mascot Police Station and charged with eight offences that included two counts of aggravated robbery and inflict bodily harm.

Inflict actual bodily harm with intent to have sexual intercourse with victim and two counts of sexually touch another person without consent were among the charges.

The other offences were choke person intend to commit indictable offence and two counts of stalk and intimidation intend fear physical harm.

The Sex Crimes Squad were brought in to investigate a 19-year-old who was allegedly attacked by an unknown man while walking alone in Goulburn on April 14.

According to a NSW Police statement, police allege the woman was struck numerous times in the face until she was unconscious before she was sexually assaulted.

Upon coming to, the 19-year-old was able to wave down a vehicle that took her to Goulburn Police Station. 

Police allege an 18-year-old woman was punched in the face days earlier on April 5.

The woman allegedly fought off the man and escaped, making it to hospital where she was treated for facial injuries.

Legal Aid solicitor Phil Ryan asked for the matter to be adjourned with the case to return to court on May 3.

The court heard there would be no application for bail. 

‘I’ve spoken to his legal representatives who are based in Goulburn,’ Mr Ryan said.
