Three people have been killed in a horror crash with a 13-year-old boy charged over their deaths and for allegedly stealing a Mercedes Benz.

Three cars collided with each other on Saltwater Creek Road at Maryborough, four hours north of Brisbane, in Queensland, at 11pm on Sunday.

A 29-year-old woman and a 17-year-old girl in a Holden died at the scene, as did the 52-year-old female driver of a Mazda. 

A 23-year-old woman was left in a critical condition and taken to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.

Police allege a silver Mercedes Benz had been stolen just hours earlier at 8.40pm.

The vehicle then crashed into the back of the Holden sending it colliding with a Mazda. 

A passenger of the Mercedes is understood to have fled the scene. The driver of the Mercedes Benz suffered minor injuries to his foot. 

A 13-year-old boy was charged with three counts of dangerous operation of motor vehicle causing death and one count of unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

He will appear before Maroochydore Children’s Court at a later date. 

Detectives have launched an investigation into the matter.
