Two young children were shocked to find a human skull inside a plastic bag in their garden.
A teenager has been arrested and charged with theft following the disturbing discovery in Aberdeen, Scotland.
Police descended on Heathryfold Place and the area was locked down for five hours after the grim find, the Press and Journal reports.
Tegan Mayall told the paper how her son Noah, 4, was one of the kids who found the skull and that the youngsters have been ‘traumatised’ by the incident.

The 25-year-old said: ‘They both ran over to the side of the garden and grabbed this bag and we weren’t sure what was in it, so me and her mum tipped the bag out to see what it was.
‘The kids were messing about with it because they thought it was a Halloween decoration because that’s what it looked like.’
She added: ‘It’s not what you expect to find in a garden.’
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: ‘Following theft from a church in Union Street, Aberdeen, a 17-year-old man was arrested and charged on Wednesday, 3 May, 2023. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.’
