School bus and a truck smash into each other with passengers trapped

A school bus and a truck have collided with a number of children believed to be trapped onboard. 

The crash occurred at Exford, outside of Melton, west of Melbourne‘s CBD, at about 3:45pm on Tuesday. 

The bus rolled over to its side and children are being treated by paramedics on the side of the road, according to Nine News. 

It’s understood that several children are still trapped inside the bus.

An air ambulance has been called to the scene.
