An abandoned diner has been discovered in excellent condition with a vintage Coca-Cola fridge, a fully-fitted kitchen, and stale coffee mugs still sitting on the counter.

Professional urban explorer Dave, also known online as Freaktography, found the time capsule venue at the edge of a ghost town in Toronto, Ontario.

The small diner is decorated with green walls, baby pink booths, and green leather seats.

The diner evokes scenes from the 1978 musical romantic comedy film Grease, set in the 50s where this type of setting was a common hangout.

In the video, shared by Dave on social media, tables have been left set for dinner with cutlery, plates, menus, and sugar and an old menu reveals former customers could enjoy treats such as bacon and tomato sandwiches for $3.86 and quarter-pound hamburgers for $3.45.

A Tasmanian Devil cartoon labelled ‘Fantaztic Food’, is visible under a wooden board on the window, along with other drawings of cartoons including a muscle man with burgers for weights.

Meanwhile, an ice cream machine, milkshake blender, large coffee machine, and surveillance system have all been abandoned as if someone left in a hurry.

The kitchen is still set up for service, with several deep-fat fryers filled with oil, plates left out for serving, and a six-ring hob primed for the next meal to be cooked.

The diner was reportedly previously adjoined by Petro Canada, a petrol station attached to the building.

Although it is in good condition, slight water damage has stained the ceiling of the near-untouched building.

‘The diner looked as though the owners and staff just decided to up and leave and never come back,’ Dave told NeedToKnow.co.uk.

‘The plates were still stacked, coffee mugs were lined up and ice cream scoops were still on the tray.

‘It was dark and eerily quiet inside, I really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere while I explored and photographed the building.’
