Former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, who passed away on March 5 at the age of 86, left a lasting legacy with Forza Italia and Mediaset. Berlusconi’s death was reported by Italian media at 9:30 a.m. today. He passed away at the San Raffaele Hospital in Milan.
Doctors Alberto Zangrillo and Fabio Ciceri confirmed that Berlusconi was readmitted to the hospital on Friday for further investigations regarding his ongoing battle with chronic leukemia. Unfortunately, he passed away shortly after being readmitted.
The doctors who treated Berlusconi mentioned that the tests scheduled at the San Raffaele Hospital were routine and did not indicate any immediate cause for concern.
Berlusconi had previously spent 45 days at the same hospital receiving treatment for a lung infection and chronic leukemia.

Berlusconi has spent a lot of time in hospitals throughout the years. He was hospitalized for pacemaker implantation, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease type 19, and a urinary tract infection in January 2022.
As part of the coalition government led by Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, the media mogul planned to host prominent members of his party, the conservative Forza Italia, at his estate in Arcore this weekend.
