American rock band Paramore announce their first Australian tour in five years – but some Aussie fans are ‘heartbroken’ that two major cities have been left off the schedule

Paramore are returning to Australia for the first time in five years.

The pop-rock band will bring their This Is Why Tour Down Under in November for multiple concerts across the country.

They’ll also perform one show in Auckland, New Zealand, on November 18.

From there, they’ll perform at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre on November 22, followed by Sydney at The Domain on the 25th, and finally Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne on the 27th.

Despite some excitement from fans, many were furious that two major cities had been skipped.

‘Guys, east coast only doesn’t count as an Australian tour – where’s Perth and Adelaide dates?’ asked one.

‘Heartbroken for Adelaide and Perth,’ said another, while one commented, ‘Why do you hate us in Perth?’

Back in February, Paramore returned to the top of the ARIA Albums Chart with their comeback album, This Is Why.

This is Why is the band’s first album in six years after they released After Laughter in 2017, which peaked at number three on the ARIA Albums Chart at the time.

They have also accumulated two number one albums in Australia; Brand New Eyes in 2009 and their 2013 self titled album.

The rockers have charted a number of hits Down Under over the years, including Ain’t It Fun, Still Into You, and The Only Exception.

Meanwhile, lead singer Hayley Williams recently collaborated with Taylor Swift on the re-release of Swift’s album Speak Now.

The pair did a song together called Castles Crumbling, which will be included as a bonus track on the album.
