Horror as lifeless body is found lying in the middle of the road on a suburban street in Australia – as police launch an urgent investigation into the suspicious death

A quiet suburban neighbourhood has been cordoned off following the grim discovery of a man clinging to life before he later died in hospital.

Emergency services were called to Edwardstown in inner-city Adelaide  on Sunday night after a man was found lying in the middle of the street.

He was rushed to the Flinders Medical Centre in a critical condition but was pronounced deceased a short time later.

The man’s death is being treated as a suspicious.

Detectives spent the night interviewing neighbours and remained at the cordoned off crime scene on Monday morning.
