A man who was caught on video jumping out of a car and assaulting an elderly man in a quiet Southern California neighborhood has been arrested for the attack.
Manuel Alejandro Valenzuela was arrested for the alleged assault which included an older gentleman being repeatedly punched in the head on a sidewalk.
The incident happened on June 24 in the 4000 block of Merced Avenue in Baldwin Park, an area located just 20 miles east of central Los Angeles.
In the video, Valenzuela can be seen jumping out of a parked vehicle on the street and immediately rushing at the unidentified victim, punching him to the ground.
Police said in a post on Instagram that they are currently searching for additional victims who were attacked by the man.

The video shows the man exit the vehicle from the passenger side backseat and run directly at the man who had been taking a stroll.
Valenzuela jumps onto the man, landing a blow to the side of the elderly pedestrian’s head and knocking him to the ground.
As the man attempts to pick himself up off the ground, the suspect takes on a fighting position, pulling his hands up to throw another punch.
The pedestrian dodges a second punch and then attempts to fight back.
The clip ultimately cuts off before it shows how the altercation ends.
Police did not share if the elderly man was injured and the extent of his injuries.
The shocking footage caught the attention of horrified residents who shared their anger
‘So sad and scary! Can’t even take a stroll down the street! Hope the elderly man is ok, physically and emotionally as well,’ one Instagram user wrote.
‘Poor guy! Hope y’all put them cuffs on extra tight,’ another added.
‘Scum of the earth!!!’ said a third commenter whose comment received 12 likes.

Investigators are currently searching for any additional victims who may have been attacked by the man in the Baldwin Park area.
