Middle-aged man is stabbed to death to become latest London knife murder victim

A middle-aged man stabbed to death in London today has become the latest victim of knife murders in the capital.

The victim, a man in his 40s, was found dead on a street in North Harrow, north-west London this morning, prompting an investigation by senior Scotland Yard detectives.

The man, who has not yet been positively identified, was pronounced dead at the scene in Pinner Road, despite the best efforts of emergency services which included the London Air Ambulance.

A murder investigation was promptly launched by the Metropolitan Police.

The force said inquiries are underway to inform the victim’s next of kin and that

A spokesman for the force said today: ‘A murder investigation has been launched following a stabbing in Harrow.

‘Police were called at approximately 06:25hrs Saturday, 8 July to reports of a man stabbed in Pinner Road, North Harrow.

Officers, London Ambulance Service crews and London’s Air Ambulance all attended the scene.

‘Despite the best efforts of the emergency services, the man – believed aged in his 40s – was pronounced dead at the scene.

‘Inquiries are ongoing to inform next of kin. A crime scene remains in place.

‘There have so far been no arrests and inquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.
