This will be Eddie Howe’s side’s final friendly in the UK before they head to the USA to compete in the Premier League Summer Series.

Some 8,000 Toon fans will be heading up to Scotland to create what should be a superb atmosphere for a friendly match.

Rangers vs Newcastle: How to follow

Rangers vs Newcastle: Team news

Newcastle’s team may feature new signing Sandro Tonali.

However, Howe is not expected to bring all of his big players to Scotland for the clash.

Due to it being a testimonial, the Magpies line-up could feature plenty of young talent rather than the big stars.

As for Michael Beale’s Rangers, McGregor will of course play following his retirement from professional football last season.

Former Premier League players Jack Butland and Kieran Dowell may make their first appearances for their new club.
