Huge blow for new Australian airline that was set to revolutionise air travel forever

  • Bonza axes five flights to regional Australia
  • The airline’s network will reduce from 27 routes to 22

New Australian airline Bonza has announced it will cut five routes and reduce flights due to a lack of demand.

From 1 August the budget carrier’s network will be cut from 27 routes to 22.

Flights will be discontinued from its Sunshine Coast base to Coffs Harbour, Port Macquarie and Tamworth.

The airline, which launched in January, will also stop flights between Cairns and Mackay, and Toowoomba and Whitsunday Coast as well as reducing flight frequencies on other routes.

The axing of five routes servicing regional Australia is a result of not enough passengers travelling to and from those destinations.
