George St, Sydney: Dramatic NSW Police arrest near Dymocks building

A group of youths have been dramatically arrested in the heart of Sydney‘s CBD after leading police on a chase through the city. 

Officers swarmed to the Dymocks building on George Street around 2.20pm on Tuesday after receiving reports a group of males had threated a customer. 

Police gave chase after the group, who are understood to have been carrying knives, fled through the scene. 

Officers later arrested around six people – including males and females – at Town Hall station around 2:50pm.
