She has already switched from popstar to a West End theatre actress, and now it appears Lily Allen has found herself another role as a fashion muse.

The singer has been indundated with around £40,000 worth of designer clothes which she parades in as she leaves London’s Duke of York Theatre after her nightly performances of her dark and gritty show, The Pillowman.

Ms Allen, 38, gets dolled up in the outfits with the help of her stylist after wearing dirty, blood-soaked clothes for her role as a prisoner in the play by Martin McDonagh.

But afterwards she transforms into a fashionista, leaving through the stage door in an array of designer outfits by Armani, Fendi and Elie Saab.

Ms Allen has documented each look on Instagram, tagging and promoting the brands she’s been showcasing, all styled by Kyle De’Volle.

But her turn in The Pillowman, opposite Steve Pemberton and Paul Kaye, has seen her face criticism for lacking the range to portray the complex character who is awaiting execution after being charged with a crime.
