No pay rise for King Charles: Sovereign grant used to fund official Royal duties is halved

The cash King Charles receives from the taxpayer will be slashed in half next year, it was revealed today. 

The Sovereign Grant – used to fund the monarchy’s official duties – will be 12% of the Crown Estate’s net profits next year, down from 25%, the Treasury has announced.
