The wife of a controversial property developer wanted for questioning over fraud is rumored to have left him, appearing in photos without her wedding ring.

Nisserine ‘Nissy’ Nassif, wife of Toplace developer Jean Nassif, was spotted stepping out with a friend late last month, dressed up to party and minus her wedding bling.

It came after she recently posted a pointed message on Instagram: ‘You will never really see how toxic someone is until you breathe fresher air.’

Despite being wanted by police, Mr Nassif has continued his own social media activity, and countered with cryptic comments on his Facebook page.

‘You go from being their soulmate and the center [sic] of their universe – to nothing you ever did being good enough!’ read one post.

He also wrote: ‘You’re left behind drained in every aspect of your life: mentally, emotionally, spiritually and often financially!’

Toplace’s building arm went into voluntary administration at the start of July, with 64 more subsidiaries going under over the past fortnight, potentially owing creditors about $200million.

It is understood more than 20,000 homeowners across 20 buildings could be affected.

In a photo posted to a friend’s Instagram last month, Ms Nassif was seen dressed up in a figure-hugging black mesh bustier top and matching pants.

The founder of the Wiping Tears charity was also spied out with the same friend a week later with a video posted of the pair posing and having drinks in a bar, reports The Daily Telegraph.

Ms Nassif, who has three children with Jean, has long been rumoured to be estranged from the embattled developer, who has been in Lebanon for the best part of this year.

She is supposedly still living in the former couple’s multimillion-dollar mansion in Chiswick, in Sydney’s inner west, and is even rumoured to be planning a reality TV career, according to the Sydney Morning Herald.

She will reportedly star in the travel series Adventure All Stars, which is being filmed across six days on a tropical island and will screen on streaming platform 7Plus.

Meanwhile, Mr Nassif claims he is suffering from ‘anxiety, depression and stress’, with a source close to the businessman saying he is missing his children.

He remains on the run while wanted on fraud-related charges, with police accusing him of financial crimes dating back to 2021.

Detectives from the NSW Police organised crime squad were granted an arrest warrant for Mr Nassif in June in relation to fraud-related charges.

Mr Nassif became a social media sensation in 2019 when he gave his wife a $480,000 yellow Lamborghini for Valentine’s Day.

He had uploaded a video of him presenting the luxury vehicle to the mother of his children with the comment, ‘Congratulations Mrs Nassif… you like?’

Mr Nassif is the father of lawyer Ashlyn Nassif, who has been accused of securing a $150million loan from the Westpac bank with an allegedly falsified property pre-sale contract in 2021.

She has been charged with dishonestly obtaining financial advantage by deception and publishing false or misleading material to obtain advantage.

The 27-year-old is accused of falsifying $10.5m in pre-sale contracts for the development of the $900m Sky View apartment complex in northwest Sydney.

The partner of law firm EA Legal is yet to enter pleas after she was charged with dishonestly obtaining financial advantage by deception and publishing false or misleading material.

She was granted bail in March with $2.6m secured by her family.

Earlier this year, Mr Nassif was called to appear before a NSW parliamentary inquiry into allegations of impropriety at Hills Shire council, but he declined to give evidence via video link from Lebanon for legal reasons.
