During Young Thug’s racketeering trial, the presiding judge, Ural Glanville, held Steel in contempt of court. This decision came after Steel refused to disclose how he became aware of a conversation allegedly held between himself, prosecutors, and a key witness in the case.
The conversation reportedly took place in Judge Glanville’s chambers before the court proceedings began.
As a result of his refusal, Steel was escorted out of the courtroom and subsequently sentenced to serve 10 weekends in the Fulton County Jail, amounting to a total of 20 days behind bars. He was instructed to report to the Rice Street facility by 7 p.m. on Friday.
In an attempt to modify his sentence, Steel requested to spend his weekends with his client at the Cobb County Jail, citing the need to work on their case together.
