Murder probe is launched as a woman in her 50s is found dead in Brisbane’s north

  • The body of a woman in her 50s was found
  • She was discovered in a north Brisbane home 
  • Police are treating her death as suspicious 

A woman in her 50s was found dead inside a city home following reports of a disturbance.

Police were called to a home in Kallangur, north Brisbane, at about 12.50pm on Thursday where the woman’s body was found.

Detectives declared the home a crime scene and are investigating the circumstances of her death, which they are treating as suspicious.

A 36-year-old man is assisting police with enquiries. 

Queensland Police said it currently has no further information available.
