Police are appealing for public help to locate a man alleged to have exposed himself to a young girl on a Sydney bus last month.

Officers were called to George Street in Haymarket on Tuesday, February 20 about 1.20pm to reports a man had exposed himself before fleeing the scene.

Police have now released several images of a man who they believe may be able to assist with inquiries.

The man is described as being Caucasian in appearance, in his 30s, with an olive complexion, a dark brown moustache, facial piercings and was wearing glasses.

He was wearing a leaf print shirt with a white logo on the front, grey shorts, white shoes, a black hat and a black backpack.

Anyone with CCTV or information about this incident is urged to contact police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
