The horrific moment a brave cop was flung from a moving car has been caught on camera as the man behind the wheel is sentenced for the harrowing crime.
Bevan Tittums, 33, was found guilty of flinging the officer from the car, leaving him with a broken wrist after he tried to stop him from speeding away at a Costco service station in Perth in November, 2021.
Tittums’ entire chase was caught by PolAir after it followed the stolen Nissan X-Trail during the 76-minute pursuit.
The 33-year-old was jailed for more than three years for injuring the officer and various other offences committed on the day.

It was revealed in court that the brave officer suffered fractures to his wrist after landing on the concrete which could have killed him had he landed on his head.
Magistrate Richard Huston told Perth District Court it was ‘a miracle there wasn’t a massive catastrophe with loss of life’, The West Australian reported.
Prosecutor Thomas Mooney told the court the injuries ‘could’ve been much worse’.
‘Particularly if the officer had hit his head on the concrete after being thrown from the vehicle,’ he said.
Tittums appeared before Perth’s District Court in March where the court was told his desperate attempt to evade the law reached speeds of more than 160km/h.
Footage played to the court showed Tittums driving on footpaths, near playgrounds, ignoring red lights, and crashed through a security bollard.
The chase eventually ended after the blue X-Trail crashed near Royal Perth Hospital where officers were finally able to capture him on foot.

Tittums’ defence lawyer Les Sanders told the court her client believed police were trying to kill him.
‘The amount of methamphetamine he had was a fairly hefty quantity,’ Ms Sanders said.
‘He was having some sort of drug‑induced psychosis so he thought he could deal with that by ingesting more drugs.’
Tittums was sentenced to three years and nine months behind bars for injuring the officer, reckless driving, stealing a car, failing to stop and possession of drugs.
He was also disqualified from driving for life.
