A 27-year-old road worker was hospitalised overnight after they were struck in an alleged hit-and-run car accident in Brisbane’s south.

The man was working on Beelarong Street in Morningside around midnight when he was hit by a silver Toyota Camry, police said today.

Police allege the driver who hit the man continued driving onto nearby Junction Road where they shortly after crashed into a power pole.
