About 4pm on yesterday, officers stopped a driver on Wheelers Lane, Dubbo, after seeing the driver was not wearing a seatbelt.

They searched the man and allegedly found methylamphetamine hidden in his pants.

Police said the man tested positive to drugs on an oral fluid test.

He was arrested and given a second test, with the results now pending.

He was issued a court attendance notice for drug offences and will appear in court in September.

He was also fined for not wearing a seatbelt.
