Four firefighters have been injured after they were allegedly assaulted by two men in Adelaide’s north-west overnight.

Emergency services were called to Strathfield Terrace in Taperoo about 9.10pm after reports of a fire in the front yard of a property.

South Australian Metropolitan Fire Service crews were first on scene and upon arrival, four officers were allegedly assaulted by two men, police said.

Police confirmed the officers were not seriously injured by the attack, but said a fire truck was damaged.

A 37-year-old man and a 36-year-old man, both from Taperoo were arrested shortly after the incident.

They were both charged with four counts of assaulting an emergency worker and property damage.

Both men were bailed to appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court on March 19.
