A woman’s dead body has been found after a house fire in Geelong.
Emergency services rushed to a home on Upper Skene Street, Newtown, at about 2am on Monday morning after receiving reports of a fire.
A woman who was found inside the property died at the scene.
A crime scene has been established with an arson chemist and detectives from the Arson and Explosives Squad to inspect the damaged home.

The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
Geelong is located about 75km southwest of Melbourne.
