A 24-year-old man has been arrested after a group of neo-Nazi’s stormed Melbourne’s CBD

About 30 masked men descended upon Melbourne’s Flinders Street Station where they carried out an aggressive demonstration on Saturday afternoon.

The men chanted offensive statements and hung a banner from the entrance of the station.

Police said a 24-year-old North Melbourne man at the scene and interviewed “for grossly offensive public conduct”.

He was released with intent to summons.

Eight other males were spoken to “for offensive behaviour in a public place” and released.

Officers seized the banner, as well as a flag, police said.

Police will assess the circumstances surrounding the demonstration and review footage of the incident including people involved.
