A man has been arrested and is assisting police with inquiries over the death of a woman at a Canberra home.

The 51-year-old woman was found dead at the home on Kallaroo Road in the rural suburb of Pialligo by paramedics after they were called there yesterday morning.

Police attended the scene and throughout the day gathered information.

They later arrested a 52-year-old man who is currently helping officers with inquiries.

At this time no charges have been laid and investigations are continuing.
