The man was found fatally injured inside a home on Victoria Drive, Thomastown, at about 8.40pm.
Police were called to the scene and performed CPR on the man, but he died at the scene.
A police spokesperson said the circumstances of the man’s death were yet to be determined.
Homicide detectives are on the scene.
