Police are searching for a moped driver after a crash allegedly led to a fight on the streets of Brisbane yesterday.

A 60-year-old man was allegedly stuck at a red light on Leopard Street in Kangaroo Point about 4.45pm yesterday when the side mirror of his silver sedan was hit by a white moped, police have said.

Police said the two drivers had a conversation before they pulled over on the nearby Llewellyn Street.

“There has then been a physical altercation between the driver of the sedan and the moped driver, resulting in the victim sustaining multiple injuries, including to his head, face and hand,” police alleged.

Police are appealing for help to find the moped driver.

He is described as tall, slim build, wearing a hi-visibility shirt and a black open-faced helmet.

Nearby residents are urged to review their CCTV and motorists are urged to check their dashcam footage for any relevant vision.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
