Images have been released after an allegedly stolen ute was involved in a crash Melbourne earlier this year.
It’s believed a blue Ford ute was stolen from Albert Street in the Ballarat suburb of Sebastopol on February 21.
The same ute was then involved in a crash on the Hume Highway at Craigieburn in Melbourne’s north on February 22, at about 10.35pm.
The driver removed several items and fled the scene on foot, leaving the ute behind.
Now, police have released images of a man they believe can assist their inquiries.
The man is believed to be Caucasian in appearance, about 170cm-175cm tall, with dark hair and a slim build.
He appears to be aged in his late 20s or early 30s.
He was seen wearing light coloured shorts, dark running shoes, a black jumper with a grey stripe on the arm and chest, and a dark hat.
