Police were called to the cockatoo trail at Mount Coot-tha, in the city’s west, about 10.15am yesterday after reports of an attempted sexual assault of a woman in her 20s.
They were told she was pushed to the ground and held down but got away.
The attacker ran, with police searching bushland.
He remains on the run, with women in the area told to stay vigilant.
