Queensland police are searching for six teenagers after a three-day crime spree spanning from Logan to the Gold Coast.

CCTV vision captured a ute ramming a Logan tobacconist several times before the doors were smashed open.

Three people in hooded jumpers got out of the vehicle and loaded their bags before they left the store.

“We’ve been told up to six people may have been involved, we don’t know the ages, but they appear to be teenagers.”

Police have been searching for a group of young people for several days following reports of several incidents.

Officers are investigating a video that was posted to social media of an allegedly stolen BMW that appeared to reach speeds of almost 240km/h.

Another video captured by a security camera in Helensvale appeared to show a young person with a machete.

It is understood multiple cars were stolen over the course of the weekend.

“From 1.30am to 3am on Saturday, there were a number of attempted break-ins in Biggera Waters, Pacific Pines and Surfers Paradise,” Hanlon said.

“We’re continually seeing a level of violence and it is concerning for police.”
