Thousands are expected to gather this evening for a candlelight vigil in tribute to the victims of the Bondi Junction Westfield stabbing spree last Saturday.
Six people – five women and one man – were killed during knife-wielding Joel Cauchi’s rampage through the shopping centre.
Cauchi was ultimately shot dead by NSW Police Inspector Amy Scott.
Multiple people, including the nine-month-old daughter of slain mum Amy Scott, were hospitalised.
The six patients remaining in hospital, including the baby, are all in a stable condition as of this morning.
Just over a week since the attack, Bondi Beach will be the site of a mass gathering for people to pay their respects to those lives ended and devastated.
Thousands of people are expected to gather in a park at the south end of Bondi Beach for the vigil at about 5.30pm today.
Attendees are urged not to bring flowers but instead a candle.
They are also urged to take public transport, with the beachside carpark to be closed.
Mental health workers and counsellors are expected to be dotted throughout the crowd.

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association, of which slain security guard Faraz Tahir was a member, issued a statement this morning as they prepared to attend the gathering.
“He is not just a hero for us but the whole nation,” AMYA president Adnan Qadir said.
“We are here in large numbers to carry on Faraz’s legacy by reflecting on his bravery, courage, and giving strength to our youth that they too must always be ready to serve others and, most importantly, this beautiful country.”
