The Uber driver behind the wheel when of a car that was t-boned in Brisbane has spoken of his attempt to help his passenger who was killed in the crash.

Grafton was killed while Vinden and Mohammed were both rushed to hospital.

Mohammed, a father of eight, recalled the fatal crash and how he stopped breathing.

When he was able to pull himself out, he went to assist his passengers. 

“I open another door for the lady but I can’t help (the man),” he told 9News.

“I can’t help him because my hand, I cannot pick up because I’m not feeling [my hand].

Police said the stolen car had run a red light and was speeding at the time of the crash.

“They ran,” he said. 

The collision was so intense that police said Mohammed is extremely lucky to be alive.

Vinden remains in hospital in critical but stable condition.

Tributes have poured for Grafton, who has been remembered as a “big, kind-hearted person who loved his family”.

Police have yet to make an arrest but said they know who they are searching for.

They have urged the person driving the stolen car to do the right thing and hand themselves in.
