50 Cent Surprises Audience At Diddy Comedy Roast: ‘I Thought Puffy Might Show Up’

50 Cent attended a comedy roast of Sean “Diddy” Combs at the Dead Flamingo Pop Up in Miami on Saturday night, though he did not take the stage himself. Instead, he was in the audience, posing for pictures with attendees and passing around shots of his Branson cognac.

The event, which featured sets from local comedians such as Lonnie Cox, Ricky Cruz, and Drew Illa, was a fundraiser to benefit the National Domestic Violence Hotline.

Brittany Brave, the show’s host and a domestic abuse survivor herself, explained that the roast was a way to join the conversation about the recent allegations against Diddy in a productive manner.

Some of the less politically correct jokes at the roast included:

  • “Sean Combs earned his nickname ‘Puffy’ because that’s how he leaves his girlfriends after every relationship.”
  • “Diddy used to enjoy hanging out with Kevin Hart until he found out Hart wasn’t 14 years old and only short.”
  • “I’ve never understood why Diddy has lived in Miami for so long. What about Miami would attract a phony, conniving, self-important, billionaire pedophile? That feels more like a West Palm Beach thing.”

50 Cent, who has been actively trolling Diddy online over the recent allegations, confirmed his attendance on Instagram, claiming he had “shooters” at the venue in case Diddy showed up, though he later clarified he was referring to videographers.

Later that evening, 50 Cent continued the roast vibes at Vendôme nightclub in South Beach, where a video posted on his Instagram showed someone holding up a sign reading “Diddy Did It” – reportedly the working title for an upcoming Netflix documentary Fifty is producing about the allegations against Diddy.

Combs, who is facing several lawsuits alleging abuse and a federal sex trafficking investigation, remained quiet and reportedly unaware of the comedy event happening just miles away from his Star Island compound.

50 Cent And Diddy Relationship

The relationship between 50 Cent and Diddy has been marked by a long-standing feud that has spanned nearly two decades.

The animosity between the two hip-hop moguls began in 2006 when 50 Cent released a diss track titled “The Bomb,” which seemed to imply that Diddy had knowledge about the murder of The Notorious B.I.G. Diddy has consistently denied any involvement in the murder and has never been proven to have had any information about the killer.

The feud escalated in 2014 when both artists were involved in promoting competing vodka brands. Diddy had been the co-owner of Ciroc since 2007, while 50 Cent became the spokesperson for Effen Vodka. 50 Cent mocked Ciroc, claiming it was not actually vodka but rather a grape-based drink. Diddy has also been repeatedly targeted by 50 Cent for his perceived “fruity” behavior and mannerisms.

In 2018, 50 Cent appeared on the podcast “Drink Champs” and recalled an incident where Diddy allegedly told him he would take him shopping, which 50 Cent found uncomfortable. Diddy denied the claims and the feud speculation.

The feud continued in 2022 when 50 Cent called out Diddy’s ex-girlfriend, Daphne Joy, for attending Diddy’s iHeartRadio Music Festival performance.

Joy was unhappy with the callout and asked 50 Cent to stop doing it. Later that year, Diddy’s ex-girlfriend Cassie filed a lawsuit against him, alleging sexual assault and physical abuse over a decade. Diddy denied the allegations, and the case was settled. Multiple other individuals came forward with similar allegations, which Diddy also denied.

In 2023, 50 Cent expressed interest in taking over Diddy’s media organization, Revolt, after Diddy stepped down as chairman amid the allegations. Diddy’s attorney, Aaron Dyer, denounced the allegations and called the raids on Diddy’s properties an “unprecedented ambush” and “nothing more than a witch hunt based on meritless accusations.”

The feud reached a new level in 2024 when Homeland Security raided Diddy’s residences in Los Angeles and Miami in connection with a federal sex trafficking investigation. 50 Cent mocked Diddy on social media, posting a cryptic message saying, “Now it’s not Diddy do it, it’s Diddy done. They don’t come like that unless they got a case.” He also posted a meme of a milk carton with a photo of Jay-Z, implying that Jay-Z was not supporting Diddy.

Diddy’s son, King Combs, released a song titled “Pick a Side,” defending his father and taking aim at 50 Cent. 50 Cent responded by reposting screenshots of the song and commenting, “I don’t understand why they want to drug women.” The feud continues, with both artists trading barbs on social media and in their music.
