Parents’ worst nightmare as boy is ABDUCTED off the street by strangers as he walks home: ‘Do you want to come for a ride?’

A 17-year-old boy has been forced into a car with four strangers as he walked home from a night out, South Australian police said.

The teenager was walking on the esplanade at Somerton Park, Adelaide, about 10pm on Thursday evening when a driver stopped and asked: ‘Do you want to come for a ride?’

The boy declined, but was forced into the white car by two men and driven north. He then managed to flee the unlocked car at an intersection and escape home.

The young man was not threatened and came away unscathed, police said.

He was near Yarrum Grove when the car pulled up and followed him as he walked along.

Then two of the men from the rear of the vehicle got out and forced the teen into backseat before the car took off.

The boy escaped after the vehicle slowed down at a roundabout at the intersection of Pier and Partridge Streets in Glenelg.

He then ran home and alerted police.

One of the suspects was described as having a Caucasian appearance, 190 cm tall and in his late 30s to early 40s.

He had a large black and grey beard, a pot belly and wore a dark grey hoodie.
