You’ve seen the movie ‘Cocaine Bear,’ now here’s the real-life ‘coke bear’ who guzzled 69 cans of soda after breaking into a woman’s car in British Columbia.

Sharon Rosel, who lives in a remote area of Canada‘s Sunshine Coast, experienced a ‘coke bear’ first-hand when a mischievous and thirsty bear broke into her car and drank ‘massive amounts of soda.’

The bear also left a trail of destruction that included a shattered car window, ripped leather seats and pools of soda.

Rosel, who operates a food truck, said her dog woke her at 3 a.m. to the chaos outside her home as she watched the black bear from her balcony using its sharp teeth to bust open the soda cans and slurp the beverage.

The Earls Cove resident told CBC News: ‘I’ve been around bears since I was knee-high to a grasshopper, and I have never seen them go after pop.’

She noticed the bear started with orange soda before making its way through the cola and then drank the root beer. The animal stopped when it reached the diet soda.

Of the 72 cans of soda she had in the car, the bear went through 69, leaving a mere three soda cans behind.

Rosel, who is familiar with bears, is vigilant about keeping any food in her vehicle, but told the news outlet she was surprised the bear went for the cases of soda pop she left behind.

At one point, Rosel tried to shoo the bear away by throwing cold water onto the animal from her balcony. She also said she tried to reason with the furry beast by  telling him that she needed her car for work the next day.

She even joked, ‘I tried psyching him out by telling him I was a bear hunter. That didn’t do anything either, so I had to stand by and just watch him devour my car.’

Once the bear was long gone, Rosel took photos of all the destruction to her car hoping that the insurance company will reimburse her for some of the damage.

‘Of course, white leather interior goes really good with orange Crush,’ Rosel said.
