‘Eight children are stabbed by knifeman in French playground before attacker is subdued’
Eight children have reportedly been stabbed by a knifeman in a French playground before the attacker was subdued by police.
Witnesses told Le Dauphine that a man wearing a turban began attacking the children at a small playground in Annecy, an alpine town in southeastern France.
France’s Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin tweeted: ‘Several people including children were injured by an individual armed with a knife in a square in Annecy.
‘The individual was arrested thanks to the very rapid intervention of the police.’
