Others however burst open the front door of the Ford and drag the driver out, before kicking the body of the car and smashing the wing-mirror in.

The filmer, who wished to remain anonymous, said: ‘It was the first scenario I have experienced that people were running for survival. A truly scary thought.’

The filmer was out in town for a friend’s birthday when the driver revved his engine to force them to cross the road more quickly.

According to the witness the motorist then stalled his car and people started laughing.

But the car turned on them and accordingly attempted to ‘run over’ him and a friend.

The filmer managed to get away but his friend’s foot was crushed by the wheels.
