Dramatic footage shows the moment a Missouri power utility worker scrambles to save his coworker who is stuck near a burning electric pole.

The power lineman can be seen trapped between the flames and a bucket truck in a YouTube video shared by David Patton, a war veteran and gamer.

The worker screams for help while kicking his feet in the air as a child can be heard asking, ‘Can he get down?’

Fortunately for the lineman, seconds later one of his colleagues approaches in his own cherry picker to bring him to safety.

The other lineman slowly moves towards the top of the fire to pull the victim out but soon realizes that it may be difficult to save him from a high angle.

He can then be seen changing his strategy and going under the desperate lineman’s bucket truck in order to get closer.

While approaching the victim, the co-worker tells him to ‘hang on.’

As soon as he gets closer, he can be seen pulling the trapped lineman’s legs and body down into his own truck.

After a few moments of struggle, the hero is able to successfully rescue his friend, bringing him down to the ground as the recorder of the video says: ‘Oh man, close f****** call’.

The risky save, which has received over a million views, has been celebrated by other YouTubers and called a heroic move.

‘Most dramatic and heroic thing I’ve seen in a long time God bless both of those men,’ one watcher said.

While another noted: ‘As another power lineman myself, I hate to admit that accidents and “close calls” like this happen very often in the trade. The customers this circuit feeds I’m sure were furious their power was out, just like normal, but nobody has a clue another man is fighting for his life during the power outage. Appreciate your light switch.’

A seasoned firefighter also praised the save and wrote: ’26 year firefighter here, dude that was amazing!!! He didn’t hesitate to save his bud. Respect to you both.’

One viewer also noted how important work friendships are in life: ‘Working 3,000 ft underground taught me there is no one more important than your work partner. You take care of each other so you can both go home at the end of the day. Well done fellas!’

The cause of the electrical fire remains unclear.

This heroic save comes a few months after a group of Good Samaritans rushed to the aid of a man whose car had burst into flames on a Minnesota highway, pulling him to safety seconds before certain death.

The man’s Honda ran off the road on I-94 near Snelling Avenue, hit a lamppost and burst into flames at around 6.30 p.m. in April, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

Video captures the harrowing rescue of the driver, an elderly man, as several other motorists abandoned their vehicles on the side of the freeway.

Kadir Tolla was one of them. He was heading to work in St. Paul when he encountered the burning car moments after the collision and suspected the driver was trapped inside.

Dashcam footage shows Tolla, clad in a gray shirt and white sneakers, joining several other witnesses as they attempted to wrench the doors open.

Tolla braced his foot against the guardrail as he yanked on the back door. When that attempt failed, he jogged off and retrieved a piece of plastic from the side of the road, planning to use it to shatter the window.

However, his attempts failed. Moments later, a Minnesota Department of Transportation truck pulled up and a state official entered the fray.

The flames exploded outwards, forcing the crowd to leap back, with some bystanders falling to the pavement.

As tension heightened, the Department of Transportation worker smashed the glass before the group pulled the man through the window.

They rushed him to safety in their arms, just moments before flames engulfed the driver’s side.

Miraculously, the driver did not sustain any serious injuries, according to state officials. He was taken to Regions Hospital for an evaluation.

The crash also started a grass fire which firefighters quickly extinguished.
