A day out at an indoor putt-putt course ended up in two couples being arrested over a wild brawl that that broke out in front of terrified families. 

Holey Moley Golf Club in Wollongong was the scene of a violent fight between between strangers on April 23, last year.

Ben Mark Everest, 35, and Chloe McDougall, 31, arrived at the venue and as they moved through the course ran into Adam Jeffriess, 39, and Jessica Stanford, 26 at around 5pm.

CCTV vision played to Wollongong Local Court showed Jeffries walking behind McDougall causing McDougall to say, ‘hey, watch where the f*** you are going!’

The pair then got into a heated exchange before returning to their subsequent groups but it didn’t take long for it to kick off once more.

Jeffries was heard saying something along the lines of, ‘I wasn’t even near you.. f*** off’.

He then moved towards Everest and took a swing at him, with McDougall jumping to her then-partner’s defence.

The women then began to fight one another after Stanford grabbed McDougall.

Their family members attempt to break up the scuffle as around 50 stunned patrons watch on in shock.

Multiple people were knocked to the ground during the melee, with many captured screaming on CCTV vision, before staff managed to break up the fight, with police arriving a short time later.

Jeffriess, Stanford and Everest were arrested, while McDougal managed to avoid arrest as she needed to look after four children.

Jeffriess pleaded guilty to his role in the brawl with his matter yet to be finalised with the court hearing he was the ‘main instigator’.

Stanford and McDougall both entered guilty pleas to common assault charges, with Everest also entering a guilty plea to affray.

When asked what he had learnt from the ordeal, Everest stated, ‘It never should have happened’, the Illawarra Mercury report

Magistrate Michael O’Brien let the trio walk away without conviction.
