An injured British soldier who inspired the Invictus Games has criticised Prince Harry after his revelations about his military service in the controversial memoir ‘Spare’.
Former Royal Marine Ben McBean said that he ‘does not have to support everything he [Prince Harry] does’ and that he should now ‘crack on with his life’.
McBean tweeted a page of Prince Harry’s book in which he understood that one of the passages was referring to and praising him.
The paragraph described McBean’s bravery after a road-side bomb blast in which he lost an arm and a leg, but the former soldier said that Harry should now move on with his life.

McBean tweeted: ‘This is supposed to be about me. If so cool, thank you. It’s me. However does that mean that I can’t think that #PrinceHarry should leave it now and just crack on with his life?
‘I’ve liked Harry from day one but I don’t have to support everything he does. It’s called my OPINION!’

This is not the first time McBean has spoken out about the controversial memoir.
Last week, McBean said that he loved his friend and former service-mate, but that Harry needed to ‘shut up’ and
McBean also spoke to ITV‘s Good Morning Britain after it was revealed Harry wrote that he had killed 25 Taliban fighters.
McBean said: ‘To bring it back and speak to civilians about it… they don’t need to know what you’re really up to out there.’
