‘Jeopardy!’ fans were furious after the contestants on Tuesday’s episode failed to answer a ‘simple’ question about the Lord’s Prayer during the game.

Players Joe, Laura, and Suresh were unable to give the correct answer to host Mayim Bialik‘s question regarding the commonly recited prayer.

‘Matthew 6:9 says, “Our Father, which art in heaven, [THIS] be thy name,” Bialik said, asking the group to fill in the blank with the correct word.

Shockingly, the group made an error of biblical proportions by not even attempting to guess the correct answer as the stage remained silent until Bialik gave the answer.

So, do you know the word that is missing? Scroll to see if you are smarter than three Jeopardy contestants.

If you guessed ‘hallowed,’ you would’ve been correct and would have netted $200.

Immediately after Biyalik gave the group the answer, fans on Twitter started piling on with their anger and shock at the contestants’ inability to answer the question.

‘Today, 3 Jeopardy contestants did not know the first line of the ‘Lord’s Prayer!’ Sad. Our Father, who art in heaven, ________ be thy name; They didn’t know the answer: ‘Hallowed.’ Pathetic,’ one person wrote.

‘That’s “hallowed,” you heathens! #Jeopardy,’ another added.

‘Hey, Jeopardy geniuses…It’s HALLOWED. Sheesh, what a sad world we live in,’ one Twitter user shared.

‘OOF. Watching @Jeopardy tonight, and none of the contestants knew the words ‘hallowed be thy name’ in the Lord’s Prayer,’ one user lamented.

‘You gotta be kidding me no one knew “hallowed” on #Jeopardy lol,’ shared another.

‘Screaming Hallowed! They didn’t know the “Our Father.” #Jeopardy,’ wrote one.

Another user suggested however that the group may have not known whether it was ‘hallowed’ or ‘hollowed,’ and therefore did not want to ring in.

‘Nobody got this but I’m sure they all knew it but were worried about the PRONUNCIATION,’ a wise Twitter user suggested.

While versions of the Lord’s Prayer have been tweaked by certain denominations, the ‘hallowed’ portion has stayed the same.

Even worse, afterward, the Final Jeopardy Clue was dragged for being ‘too easy.’

The question, ‘He starred in the 2 films whose soundtracks were the top 2 bestselling soundtracks of 1978,’ was answered correctly by just two of three players.

The answer was John Travolta and the soundtracks referenced were ‘Grease’ and ‘Saturday Night Fever.’

‘Final jeopardy was a softball and one of them still got it wrong. Sweet baby Jesus,’ one angry Twitter user wrote.
