Marvel actor Jeremy Renner was airlifted to hospital on Sunday after the safety feature on his Snow Cat plow failed and sent it rolling over one of his legs.
Renner was alone and trying to clear a path out of his Lake Tahoe home at the time.
He lost a significant amount of blood as a result of the injury, according to TMZ.
The 51-year-old remains in critical but stable condition in the hospital.
Police were called to his palatial home on Sunday shortly after 9am. He was airlifted out of the area at 9.50am, by which point a neighbor who is also a doctor had rushed to his aid and fixed a tourniquet on his injured leg.
Renner’s vehicle is a Pisten Bully made by the German manufacturer Kassbohrer.
It’s unclear how long he’s owned the groomer, or whether he bought it second hand.
