Just So Annoying! Landscape gardeners lose patience with slow-marching Just Stop Oil protesters as they hurl abuse and raise two-fingered salute in fury at latest road block

Video footage shows the moment a landscape gardening truck got sick of waiting for police to arrive and remove Just Stop Oil protesters, swerved across the road and hurled abuse at the activists.

Two men in the truck, which was filled with garden waste, shouted at the protesters as they veered into the wrong side of the road in order to avoid the march.

One of the men held raised a two-fingered salute at those gathered and called them ‘f***ing c***s’.

Eco-activists with Just Stop Oil launched another series of slow marches in central London on Thursday morning.

It follows disruption at Lord’s cricket ground yesterday when three JSO  protesters were arrested after running onto the pitch during day one of the Second Test at the Ashes.

Ahead of the second over of the morning session at Lord’s, two Just Stop Oil protesters raced onto the pitch and attempted to throw orange paint across the main playing area.

Jonny Bairstow showed officers how to deal with the saboteurs as he took matters into his own hands and carried a man off the pitch himself, to the delight of fans at the ground. Meanwhile England captain Ben Stokes stopped the other protester as he guarded the pitch closely, assisted by other players.

Politicians and commentators alike joined fans in applauding the players’ actions. Prime Minister Rishi Sunak praised Bairstow’s ‘swift hands’.

Footage from the New Kent Road on Thursday shows cars crossing onto the wrong side of the road into the path of oncoming traffic in order to swerve around the slow march.

Activists taking part held signs which read ‘No new oil’, ‘Future f***ed’ and ‘We won’t die quietly’.

Just Stop Oil has vowed to continue its action until the Government stops providing new fossil fuel licences due to the impact of emissions on global warming.

It has been holding slow marches since April.

A spokesman for the Met Police first said protesters were reported walking slowly in Fleet Street at just before 8.30am.

‘Protesters have now moved out of the road following engagement with officers. Traffic is moving again.’

They subsequently confirmed protesters were also slow marching in New Kent Road, Elephant and Castle, Cannon Street and Lillie Road, Brompton.

Other video footage from today’s action showed passersby shouting at activists and motorists appealing to them to move, saying they ‘have to get to work’.
