Live as A58 Wetherby Road Leeds blocked by The Crash – West Yorkshire Police have closed a part of the A58 Wetherby Road following a serious crash
Emergency services are at the scene of a serious accident on A58 Wetherby Road in Shadwell, Leeds.
Police are at the scene and it involves two cars just after the junction of Carr Lane. West Yorkshire fire and Rescue and Yorkshire Ambulance paramedics are also in attendance.

Photographs show a severely damaged car that is on its side and the road is blocked.
Traffic is being diverted down Carr Lane and back on to the A58.
It is not clear what has happened at this time but Leeds Live have asked West Yorkshire Police for more information.

Slow traffic in both directions

A man has been fined after he was found to be drunk on a Jet2 flight at Leeds Bradford Airport.
Alexander Lewis, 29, has been ordered to pay £11,000 by magistrates after pleading guilty to being drunk on a Jet2 aircraft. Court documents show Lewis, of George Street in Cleethorpes, was drunk on the aircraft on September 8 this year.
A not guilty plea had been entered, but this was changed to guilty when he appeared at Leeds Magistrates’ Court on September 21.
A separate charge of assault, said to also taken place at Leeds Bradford Airport, was dismissed. Lewis was ordered to pay a £10,000 fine and £1,000 to fund victim services after admitting to being drunk in an aircraft. He was ordered to pay this amount by October 19 this year.
