Meghan and Harry’s Archewell paid $325,000 for ‘strategic support’ from Michelle Obama’s former press secretary and a former Hillary Clinton aide, 2021 tax returns reveal

- The company also paid a firm run by an ex Clinton aide $215,000 the same year
Meghan and Harry’s Archewell paid Michelle Obama‘s former press secretary $110,000 and one of Hillary Clinton‘s former advisers $215,000 in 2021, tax returns reveal.
The payments were described as being for the pair providing ‘strategic support’ to Archewell, the foundation the couple founded while departing from royal life.
Tax records obtained by DailyMail.com show that $110,000 was given to KMLSA LLC, a California-based PR firm run by Katie McCormick Lelyveld, who served as Michelle Obama’s Press Secretary between 2007 to 2011.

Tax returns obtained by DailyMail.com show the couple’s Archewell Foundation hired Invisible Hand – run by a former Hillary Clinton adviser – and KMLSA – run by Michelle Obama’s former Press Secretary to provide ‘strategic support’ in 2021
She founded her company in La Jolla in August 2021.
The second payment of $215,000 was given to Invisible Hand LLC, a ‘social impact agency’ run by Genevieve Roth.
Roth previously served as an adviser to Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign.
Her work with Archewell was reported by Daily Mail in 2021.
It’s unclear whether the pair continue to work with Archewell, or the work was limited to 2021.
Invisible Hand still lists Archewell as among its partners online. It has also worked with The Obama Foundation.

Like the Obamas, Meghan and Harry also signed deals with Netflix and Spotify.
The couple also has a multi-book deal with Penguin Random House.
Neither has confirmed interest in a political career, but they have waded into political issues like parental leave, in the past.
A source said McCormick Lelyveld’s political experience had nothing to do with why she was hired, and that the couple do not have any political ambitions.
