A Utah law student who was shot dead by cops after refusing to comply previously scrapped with officers during his mom’s ‘sovereign citizen’ court hearing just six months before.

Chase Allan, 25, can be heard in new audio from Fox News clashing with police while his mom Diane stood trial for driving with invalid license plates.

Both Allan and Diane are believed to be potential followers of the ‘sovereign citizen’ movement, which means people do not believe in the legitimacy of the US government or authorities such as the courts system.

In the new audio, a bailiff can be heard entering the courtroom and hauling him into custody, where he shouts: ‘This is battery and assault! This is treason!’

The incident on September 21 erupted mere months before Allan was shot dead during a heated traffic stop after he was caught driving without a license plate.

The newly released audio reveals both Allan and his mother Diane’s contempt for the law, with the hearing descending into chaos after a bailiff to entered the room with a warrant for the law student’s arrest during his mother’s trial.

Faced with the document, Allan can be heard aggressively firing back: ‘What warrant? Provide probable cause!’

Amid his vocal protests, he was asked if there is anything that can be done to make him comply, to which he barks back: ‘I am not complying’.

Diana can also be heard repeatedly screaming for the officers to ‘Let him go’, adding: ‘You absolutely know this is improper’.

The fierce back-and-forth led Diane to call 911 from inside the courtroom, claiming that ‘someone is being assaulted’ during her hearing.

The audio does not include the lead-up to the hostility, however a probable cause affidavit for Chase’s arrest that day reportedly states that he was ‘disruptive and non-compliant’.

The filing adds that he refused to identify himself and failed to ‘comply with Davis County Court deputies and began to resist officers.’

He spent the night in jail after being arrested on charges of disorderly conduct, interfering with an officer, disrupting a meeting, manufacture/ possession of burglary tools, and failure to disclose identity.

Chase Allan’s refusal to reveal his identity played out again during his fatal traffic stop on March 1.

Police say they first pulled over the young law student after he was caught driving with a license plate that read ‘Notice, private automobile not for hire’.

After repeatedly brushing off attempts from the officers to get him out of the vehicle, one of the cops opened the door and grabbed him.

But as the officer hauls him from the car, the stop spirals out of control when a separate officer yells: ‘Gun, gun, gun!’

Moments later, Allan was shot multiple times by the arresting officers, and he was later pronounced dead in hospital.

Following the shooting, Allan’s devastated family revealed that they only discovered he had died after they saw the incident on news reports

Earlier this month, Diane spoke out about her ‘gracious’ and ‘loving’ son.

In a statement to FOX13, she said: ‘(He) was known by everyone in his community to be caring, thoughtful, and kind and would do anything for someone in need,’ she wrote.

‘He was always selflessly helping and protecting others in need.’

The grieving mother added that Allan had a ‘shy and quiet demeanor’ but was quick to make friends who she said will remember him fondly.

‘He was always selflessly helping and protecting others in need. He has been studying law the last few years and was a patriot doing what he could to defend the people’s freedom and liberty in his community,’ she said.

Allan’s family have accused the police department of unlawfully killing their loved-one, and have accused cops of a cover-up.
