Moonee Ponds stabbing: Man is arrested after four are left injured near Puckle Street in Melbourne

Four people have been rushed to hospital and a man has been arrested following a daylight stabbing.

Emergency services were called to Puckle Street at Moonee Ponds, in Melbourne’s inner north west, at 1.15pm on Wednesday to reports four people had been stabbed.

Two of the alleged victims were rushed to Royal Melbourne Hospital while the other two were taken to St Vincent’s Hospital. 

A 36-year-old man was taken into police custody a few hundred metres away at the Moonee Ponds railway station. 

Victoria Police said the alleged victims are all being treated for what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries. 

Detectives are at the scene.
