  • Orlich’s law firm said on LinkedIn Tuesday that he was no longer with the firm

A New York City lawyer has been fired from his law firm after he was seen on video snatching the wig off a local singer’s head in a video that has gone viral on TikTok

Lizzy Ashleigh, a 29-year-old Brooklyn musician, posted the video of herself arguing with the man, since identified by social media sleuths as Anthony Orlich, seconds after he grabbed the green wig and kept walking.

The video begins just seconds after he allegedly took the hair, with Ashleigh angrily asking: ‘Sir! For what f***ing reason?!’

‘This man just took off my wig and kept on walking,’ she penned in the closed caption of the post, which has more than 437,000 views. ‘There’s demons in NY, I swear.’

On Wednesday, Leader Berkon Colao & Silverstein – the firm Orlich apparently works for – announced he’d been let go in a LinkedIn post.

‘We have been made aware of a video of a non-work related incident involving one of our associates circulating on social media.

‘We take seriously any inappropriate behavior by any employee, whether inside or outside the workplace. This associate is no longer with the Firm.’

The firm also confirmed separately to the New York Post that, without naming the employee, he’d been fired.

The incident took place on West 35th Street and 6th Avenue in Midtown Manhattan.

In the initial video, the attacker appears to be responding to his companions telling him to apologize when he asks: ‘For what?’

‘For what reason did you take my wig off?’ Ashleigh angrily asked. ‘What made you think that was the good thing to do?’ she continued. ‘Why’d you do that? What makes you think that that’s OK?’

The man continues to have a grin on his face, with Ashleigh saying ‘it’s not funny. You don’t even f***ing know me. Do you hate women or something?’

Users on both TikTok and Twitter have said they believe Orlich is the perpetrator, though the law firm hasn’t confirmed it when they announced their employee was no longer with the firm.

Ashleigh’s issue, according to a separate TikTok, was that while she was wearing a wig, it was sewn in to her actual hair, which meant the pull injured her neck.

She has since filed a report with the police but has stopped commenting on the incident, as per her most recent TikTok post.

‘I am unable to say more at the moment as I move forward legally. I appreciate everyone who identified, called and emailed!.’

DailyMail.com reached out to the NYPD for comment on the incident.

They said a report had indeed been filed for assault but they had not yet identified the mail who grabbed the wig.

They noted that Ashleigh had suffered a ‘minor injury’ but no arrests had been made and the investigation was still ongoing.
