Tributes have poured in for a woman who was killed when her car crashed during a ‘dangerous pursuit’ with another vehicle – as police launch a murder probe to find out who was in the other vehicle during the deadly chase.

Amy-rose Wilson, 27, has been named locally as the victim of a collision on the B902 New Carron Road, in Falkirk, at around 6.10pm on Saturday.

Emergency services rushed to the scene, where Amy-rose was tragically pronounced dead. Police have said her death is being treated as suspicious.

She had been driving a silver Vauxhall Vectra, and now police are hunting the occupants of a black Mercedes C-Class involved in the incident who fled the scene.

There was an altercation between those travelling in the vehicles at an address on Foundry Street a short time before the car chase began, Police Scotland have said.

Those involved are then said to have got into the Mercedes and ‘dangerously’ pursued the Vauxhall on New Carron Road – causing it to crash into a Volkswagen Tiguan.

A 22-year-old male passenger in the Vauxhall and a 39-year-old man in the Volkswagen suffered minor injuries in the collision.

Police have said that enquiries remain ongoing.

After news of the deadly crash emerged, friends and loved ones paid tribute to Amy-rose online, describing her as a ‘lovely lassie’ and an ‘angel’.

Vicky Dumighan said: ‘Oh Amy-rose Wilson my heart absolutely breaks for you and your family, such tragic news! I was only speaking to you last week. Sleep tight sweetie xxx.’

Lucy Burns said: ‘Not the news you want to hear – one of your long times friends gone so tragically.’

One friend said: ‘Rest easy Amy-rose. Hard to believe I only spoke to you on Tuesday x’.

Another said: ‘We will miss you always angel.’

‘We have a dedicated team of officers working on this investigation and extensive enquiries are ongoing at this time.

‘It is imperative we trace the occupants of the black Mercedes who fled the scene.

‘We believe this vehicle has pursued the Vauxhall in a dangerous fashion, resulting in a crash with the Volkswagen Tiguan.
